Double coated tapes are made by coating on both sides of a substrate, which is called a carrier, with pressure sensitive adhesive, and come with a release liner. Double coated tissue and film tapes are widely used for lamination, mounting, bonding and web splicing applications in various industries, such as, graphic arts and digital printing, corrugated paperboard, packaging, foam and gasket fabrications.
Double coated tissue tapes are conformable, tension free and hand tearable. They are also widely used for splicing corrugated paperboard, for their high tack, high shear strength and high temperature resistance. Double coated film tapes offer good tensile strength, and clarity when the film is clear.
